Waxing Disclaimer
Possible side effects include skin lifting, bleeding, pimples, hives, in-grown hair, rash, sun sensitivity, infection, and permanent hair removal.
Some medications could cause side effects. Please talk to us about any medications you are taking prior to your waxing appointment.
The following conditions cannot be waxed: lupus, AIDS, in cancer therapy, herpes breakout, sunburned skin, over open sores, over irritated skin, over raised moles, over varicose veins, physician grade peel, over boils or infected ingrown hair.
The following factors can contribute to bruising, skin lifting or increased sensitivity: over dry skin, over moist skin, birth control, diabetes, hormone replacement, smoking, phlebitis, rosacea, excessive white willow bark products, exfoliation, caffeine, alcohol, light microderm or peel (wait 3 weeks), skin bleaching (wait 3 weeks), hair removers like Nair (wait 3 weeks), pregnancy.
Any infectious bacterial, viral, fungal disease or sores must be disclosed on check-in form prior to waxing so proper precautions can be taken.
